i love the drawings, love the grey lines and slight shading, but do NOT like the greyish paper. very hard to get a vibrant colour. the paper is thick and fairly smooth. it does not erase or layer well. there is definitely a learning curve. practicing coloring specific elements on regular copier paper helps. i am finding caran d’ache pablos colour the best and the white luminance pencil blends beautifully.sorry to take off three stasr for paper quality since the drawings are so wonderful. i bought The Tin Forest that mr. anderson illustrated at the same time.
update: i will NEVER buy another pictura book with this awful paper. i’ve done two before and is worse than the other two, medieval times and coloring fairies.

Great book for the price. Like the grey lines instead of black
The art is wonderful, and I own several of these types of coloring art books. However the art in this one is not very crisp and clean, resembling a charcoal sketch. I don't know if this was done on purpose, or it was the quality of the publisher used but it detracts from the overall coloring experience.
This is a lovely and unusual coloring book! Can't wait to start!

By far and way the DRAGONS were my favorite, followed by enchanted fairies!
I love these Picturas. This one is really unique. The line work looks odd at first because its fuzxier than the others but then you realise its the artists style.
This one will be fun to colour in and look at.
This is the cutest design! The paper is thick, nice quality, which doesfold out. I love the design, wish I could find more along this line of design. I look forward to coloring this book. It will provide many hours of fun.
I love this book. The long fold out picture is partially organic, partially mechanical. Like a steam punk hybrid. Very imaginative. Also, like most Pictura coloring books, this has samples of the art on the back side. I like this because then I can practice coloring techniques on the back before diving into coloring the front. The paper is really thick (like card stock) so it takes gel pens really well and smooth so colored pencils practically glide on the paper.
